Kaos Records is the most important Portuguese dance music label. At the time of its foundation in 1992, all electronic music was merged into just two styles, House and Techno, and it was under this banner that our music was created by numerous national producers.

The tracks edited by Kaos, ran the most important clubs around the world and “played” by the best DJs of that time! The “underground” music fed what were the most iconic “raves” of the 90’s and were acclaimed by the most important media of that time.
Result of the music market evolution, in 2000 Kaos Records was acquired by Vidisco and became part of the daily life of national radio stations. It becomes a tremendous success in licensing the most important music in the history of dance scene and with successful compilations, with the CLUB KAOS series being the maximum exponent in that same segment. These CDs, which at the same time were geared towards clubs due to the fact that some of their “extended versions” are exclusive and applauded by DJ’s, were also the result of many thematic compilations selected and mixed by Portuguese Top DJ’s. Kaos Records, designed and globalized, DJ’s, Clubs and their annual parties, having always been the market leader.
Currently, Kaos Records returns to its roots… As a label, it limits its spectrum between Melodic House/Tech, Tech House and the more Underground House.

Between 1998 and 2005 Funktastica had its highest point when it released artists such as: Alex S, Paul Jay’s, Danny Tenaglia, Cevin Fisher, Inner City, Funky Green Dogs, Celeda, Benny Benassi among other names that are currently part of the playlists of young House DJs around the world.

As a sub-label of one of the most prestigious labels of that time, Kaos Records, it was somewhat in the shadow of its “mother”, but it never lost its identity or its musical essence; A 100% House Music label, which walked between House, Nu-Disco, Funky Disco and Soulful House.
Currently, Funktastica has been reborn with the same conviction and has opened the door to all new music producers who are qualitatively prepared to embark with us on this adventure. Funktastica is where the crystal ball starts to sparkle, it’s the dance floor in all colours!

Result of an unsteady policy due to the fact that it had several A&R’s, the one that started out as the more “Techno” side of Kaos, Plastika, created in 1999, ended up becoming its most commercial showcase. This is where the new subgenres of electronic music emerged and appear!

Under the label mark of Exklusive Records or Komanchero Records, it was from Plastika that most of today’s most representative DJ’s national producers started their editing process.
Plastika is currently the home of Nu-House, EDM and Pop-Dance. This is where we bet on all the new trends in the dance music market!

In 2021 we adopted Organika Records for Kaos Music Group. This was probably the most coherent label of the Vidisco panorama. Founded in 2011, it had its own line in Deep-House and Afro-Deep. It was the missing piece in the group so that we could embrace all the most representative areas of electronic dance music.
